The assembly and disassembly processes, materials, componentry and manufacturing process of a waterproof Bluetooth speaker was analysed in order to determine the efficiency of its manufacture and areas in which it could be improved.
Using these identified problems, I redesigned the speaker to make the manufacturing and assembly processes more efficient. I also wished to improve the sound quality of the speaker.
Fusion 360 was used to created the revised speaker model. Both internal and external componentry was modelled, which included all of the necessary fastenings.
Technical specification documentation was also created for the new custom components during the redesign process.
