RESEARCH DESIGN

Research Expressed Graphically

Graphical Research

Expressing research in a graphic and easy to understand way has been a large part of my design process, and key for expressing areas of problem or opportunity to clients when creating a product solution.

Below is three examples of graphically-designed poster that I have created to successfully communicate the research that I have conducted and the conclusions I have drawn.

Research is a huge part of my design processes, as I find the identification of opportunities, the gaining of knowledge and the deepening of understanding to be incredibly satisfying.

The research and analysis of the system of homelessness and the theme of social impact was compiled in these visually cohesive posters to illustrate their interconnectedness. This research and mapping journey was undertaken to gain a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of homelessness and social impact, and how a product intervention could be created to better the lives of the homeless. Created using Indesign.

The research of a mass transport system of South East Queensland – trains – and its associated services was conducted to determine whether or not the system was capable of coping with the population influx of the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. Problems with the current system as well as areas of opportunities for improvement were found through this research process. Created using Indesign.

Research and analysis of the historical style, context and

influence of the chore coat. Created using Indesign.
